Awesome work, and nice effects ! You build papercraft too? I ask this because in this region are very common. Thanks for your share.

Thanks for the kind words!
Hi to all. Me ask how to make a coarse texture casting armor - try to explain.
**********************************************************************************************************************
+ baking soda ( NaHCO3 ) is put in a cake, pies, cookies...
I hope this will help you find the right path. Items that are not used, well that is not removed in the trash.
Mix the putty and soda. Tamiya solvent, the one that in the photo above.
Smeared mixture. Corrects uniformity brushing, blows from above. As soon as I liked drawing sent to dry.
After, more thin layer of liquid putty, without the soda to make the surface smoother shape and hardness of the coating.
Sandpaper 400.
Painted with a thin layer, so you can see better texture
Again sandpaper 400, until the surface is for what you need
There is an option to edit this solid surface with a brush dipped in solvent - there is no limit receptions and technologies.
I must say that finding a prototype with a rough surface is difficult.
This is my artistic sensibility and an attempt to make the surface such that it would be seen.
If you make the invoice according to the scale - it will not be noticeable.

This technology is good for small details. Fewer soda and everything will turn out.
